ANA Technical Advisory Meeting Summary

We had our first meeting on Monday. This was mostly an introductory and brainstorming session. A high priority has been given to digitization of ANA's library and website updating. We are in the exploratory phases of investigating the digitization of the library and putting a plan of attack together. I recommended that it be outsourced as ANA does not have the resources or experience in handling this type of task. I have took the initiative to investigate what companies may be appropriate to handle this task. Again this is in the exploratory phase, will report news as it becomes available. Other topics included reaching out to young numismatists (YN) and developing a website specifically targeted to them.

Google might be willing to do a lot of the digitization gratis if they can put their logo on the pages. But, they will only handle public domain material.
