NGC now grading GSA Dollars in their original holders

I think it's amazing, but I might be biased. Seriously though, that image is only a prototype and the actual label may vary. It will also have a hologram on the reverse of the GSA holder.

I can understand the disclaimer, but still I think it is kinda funny...."this is not an NGC holder" - duh

Our guarantee applies to most coins that are in NGC holders, and none that are not. A newbie could conceivably not understand that the GSA is not an NGC product. The scan is a prototype and I am not certain if that language was retained or replaced by something else.....

I understand why.....still it funny. Just a commentary on today's society. We go to great lengths to protect people from their own stupidity. NGC is not alone and this is not even the best example of stating the obvious.

As we begin the grading of GSA dollars, we wanted to make everyone aware as to how to submit these coins. Please do not submit the GSA dollars with their accompanying cardboard boxes. NGC cannot be responsible for these boxes and will not be holding or returning them. Please keep your boxes until the coins are returned.
