1837 Capped Bust Half Dime

The coin has VF-30 sharpness and eroded surfaces, which would lower the grade a bit more. I have my doubts that this coin will get a slab because of the surfaces, especially the spots on either side of Ms. Liberty on the obverse.

Bill is spot on. I still happen to like the coin given those photos.

I am not sure of where the eroded surface is; I do see the spots though.

What would be a fair price range for the coin?

Thank You

Eroded surfaces = A grainy look, indicating that the silver has been attacked by some sort of environmental or chemical agent that has unevenly removed some of the metal. The result is that the surfaces have a sort of “sandpaper” type look.
