This does not look right........

The surfaces don't look right for a VF coin. They look too bright.

 

Years ago I got stuck on a PCGS graded 1807 quarter that was in a VF-30 holder. The holder was so scratched up that I could NOT see the coin well, but it looked to be toned and had enough detail. The customer wanted the coin raw so I cracked it out. Much to my chagrin the coin had been polished and given a coat of attificial toning.

 

Let this be a lesson to those of you who think that PCGS is always right.

 

I don't like the looks of this piece. It's either net graded somehow, or someone played games and put a different coin in the holder, or they put one in there with trick photography.
