Only Buy Silver Eagles graded with no Parenthesis

Why buy a graded 2012 (W) or (S) silver eagle, the real mint mark will be released later this year.javascript:void(0)

Ok so we know that there is an amount of hype we endure when collecting coins, but I have to remind everyone that if the montages are high on a coin that your adding to your collection then be patient and purchase it later in the year.

The 2012 un-circulated Silver Eagle is being minted in both San Francisco and West Point. If you can send a sealed green monster box to NGC they will slab it with (w) or an (S) depending on where you got it from.

If your patient you can get the real deal with the actual mint mark on the coin. I guess Im asking you this. Would you want a 2011 MS70 (S) (from the green monster box) or the actual coin with the mint mark on it& reverse.

The difference in price would be about $100.00 for the (S) for $380.00 for the actual S mint mark on the reverse graded MS70.javascript:void(0)

Take a breath theres plenty of silver eagles with a (W) or (S), but wait to buy one from the US Mint mark on it, when its released.

Well in theory they are two different things One being a regular bullion coin and the other being struck on a special "burnished" planchet and having a different finish. (personally I don't care I'm not buying any of them. That's just the "official" party line.)

...another difference (minor I know) is the mintage of 200-250,000 (for the 2012 100k for the 2011) vs multi-millions

But collectors will collect what they want....some like labels, some like the real thing
