Details...

When I see a graded coin with 'AU Details' or improperly cleaned, etc... would the coin not get a registry score? How do these work in regards to sets? Thanks.

I thought I remember that details graded coins get 50% of the assigned score otherwise. So, 50% of the AU score. for UNC Details, I thought it was 50% of the MS60 score? That's just what comes to my recollection....but someone will have a link or the exact information.

I agree with BRG. I have a AU Details 1876-S Trade Dollar. The points assigned to this coin is 394. If this coin was AU50, it would be assigned 787. So basically a Details coin gets 1/2 the points. In my case, NGC was nice and rounded up the score of my coin.. ha ha ha.. (should actually be 393.5).
