Is this coin a candidate for conservation?

It is always difficult to evaluate a coin for conservation from an image. This coin is particularly difficult with the apparent dark toning. In order to give an accurate evaluation I would need to be able to determine the exact nature of this color. While there may be a limit to what conservation may be able to do for your coin, we likely could at least improve the appearance of the coin.
