10$ indian gold 1909-S send for grading. guess result!!

I really like the reverse but the obverse does show some wear.

 

(When NGC grades a coin the obverse counts for about 60% of the grade while the reverse counts for about 40%.)

 

Hard to tell from the photos but it may have had a quick dip at one time.

 

If you have money for gold coins you should really invest in a decent copy stand. (You obviously already have a great camera.)

Well made and will last a lifetime. I have had one for over eight years and it still looks and works like new. Here is a recent photo taken with it.....

have you notice that there are photo of 2 coins from 1909-s..

which one you like best?

its my granny´s old coins so i dont think dip

they have been in my family since 1909-1910

AU53-AU55 range on each. A lot of chatter on the first one. The second one looks funny in a couple of the photos. ???

Dipped and/or lackluster. Possibly cleaned...

EDITED TO ADD: Since the coin is a 09-S it's possible it just wasn't well made to begin with and hence the lackluster look. If it were a 32P then it is more likely overly dipped.
