The last three NGC AU58 examples sold at Heritage for $161.00, $207.00 and $212.75 (all from October 2011 on). I think you did well provided that the coin is pleasant in hand (i.e. not overgraded).

What does the coin look like? Generally, that's a decent price for a nice AU-58.

The 86-S is often considered to be a sleeper coin. Meaning that it is far more rare than folks think (if memory serves mintage in the very low 1mil). I think there is a bit of upside for that coin and esp. at the price your bought it for.

it def is a sleeper. only 750k minted. i picked up my MS62 at well under FMV because they are notone of the more desired although i try to pick up t hese kinds of sleeper coins when i can get them cheap. Same with the 1888-S morgan which has less of a mintage.
