Lets have some fun on turkey day! 2 Walkers--GTG!

I'll go with MS64 for the 1917 D and MS65 for the 1916 D. I'm still learning the nuances of Walking Liberty grading, but both sure look to have very clear central line strikes for "D" mint Walkers.

Thanks to those of you who responded.

The 17 D R is a 63 and the 16 D is a 64. I feel that BOTH are undergraded by one point. IMHO. I spent years searching for examples like these two.

As for the remark about the first coin being dipped--- 95% of the upper echelon early dated Walkers have been. That is how many of them made it to that high of a grade level.

The trick is to find one that is very lusterous, fresh and richly vibrant such as this one. Not to mention with this type of surface preservation, detail and sharpness of strike.
