need IMMEDIATE Hitachi-LG DVD drive help!

so the NOS 360's DVD drive does not work. ive replaced the DVD drive twice with matching firmware and model numbered DVD drives. i even turned up the POT on the laser of this recent DVD drive and it will still only read DVDs and CDs. when i put a game in the drive it just says "play DVD" and goes to the "please put this game in an xbox 360 console" screen. does anyone have any suggestions?
