Grading Shipwreck Coins

2 posts in this topic

I have some shipwreck coins from Admiral Gardner. I was wondering if I could send it in for grading. If I did, would I have to mention anything specific in the form?

Would the coin that gets graded get listed under the same KM# as the other coins that were not a part of the ship wreck?

Kindly let me know

Thanks

Thank you for the question. You would have to submit some sort of documentation along with the coins to show that they were from the Admiral Gardner shipwreck. You should also write on the submission form: "PEDIGREE = ADMIRAL GARDNER" in bold letters so that it is clear you want the shipwreck noted on the holder.

The coins would otherwise receive the same attribution (such as KM numbers) as coins not part of a shipwreck.
