I am trying to learn how to grade coins. i graded this a ms62 because of the spot on the M on the reverse. Give me your thoughts please

63 looks like a fair guess from those pictures. There seems to be a number of smaller tickmarks over the surface of the coin, but no really large marks. The spot will detract from the grade.

 

Do you have a copy of Photograde? There is also a Photograde section on the PCGS website which is very helpful.

MS63RD, and a beautiful one on that. NICE! It's got a chance at 64.

If the verdigris can be removed without damage to the coin, then I would guess 63-64.
