Yes, I'm surprised that the 1795 cent was graded also. It is obvious that the coin has been cleaned. It makes me angry when I think about the really nice early copper coins that I’ve sent in over the years that got body bags. There is just no consistency when it comes to early copper and certification holders.

I have to agree, the 1795 has obviously been cleaned. What's your guys thoughts on that 1810? To me, I can't believe that one graded either TBH. I would have thought environmental damage as well. The one that they say is tooled, looks like there's a hefty scratch behind the bust, by the hair on the obverse, 1130. Also, more obvious from the reverse, just going off memory as I can't see the pictures from work, but it looked like the rim area was wavy, especially from the 4 to 6 oc area. Am I wrong? Thanks for posting your results though.

I didnt expect it to grade to be honest. Market acceptable I guess? here are PCGS's images of the coin by the way:

Silent net grade, IMO. That coin has way too much meat for a 10.

As per our prior discussion, it would be interesting to know what JA says about that coin.

You mean that's not a screwdriver PMD? lol

Lower Right obverse field tooled/smoothed would be my suspicion, but tooling can often be tough to detect in photos.

I wouldnt bother taking that 1795 to JA. The surfaces are clearly not original. Here are some of PCGS's pics:

And here is the bust dime which was NGC AU53:
