my 1st 16D merc!

 

I just sent me new 1916 D mercury dime off to be certified. It will definetly come back "details" as it has some obverse damage. It appears to be from an old fashioned coin machine of some kind. I was told the damage was from when the machine is full you would use a screw to push the dimes down, to get your 5 dollars. The damage is of a circle that looks as if made from a screw. Anyway. i got it for a good price and the dime is got to be at least XF-AU details! i would guess lower, to mid-AU. It is a GREAT 1st 16d!!! I hope it comes back in a slab! Im sure it will. i have checked it out thoroughly and had a second opinion done.
