1921 P Peace $1 VAM 3

I see a few hairlines both on the obverse and the reverse that lead me to believe it has been cleaned long ago. Look at the cheek/jaw area and on the reverse left of the eagles wing in the field. They all go in the same general direction. I hope I'm wrong.

AU 62? I hope you mean MS 62, or was that a Freudian slip? :-)

I mean it could be AU58 just as easily as it could be MS62.

I had the same thought; it looks like an old cleaning to me too.

Put me in the AU62 camp as well. +/- cleaning -- no smoking gun one way or the other, but milk spot on the upper wing would seem to be an indication of not cleaned.
