A newp from Joe Levine's Baltimore Auction

I bid on a few lots, but was hoping to win this one and managed to for less than my max bid. I have always loved this medal for many reasons. It has a very high relief and the image of Washington in his military uniform is classic!

 

Circa 1805, Bronze, 76mm, Baker 85 Nice chocolate brown with very reflective surfaces. Looks MS to me.

Nice medal. Fine obverse, but the reverse is a text-mad loser.

I've only seen one example of this medal in person, and yours is significantly nicer. Great pickup!
