Yes, haze is a significant issue for modern proof coins and can affect the grade. We offer a combined NCS and NGC service for modern coin submissions at $22.50 per coin. NCS can remove the haze and then the coin will be transferred to NGC for grade. At only $8.50 more per coin it can be pretty advantageous for modern issues.
