It was an honest offer. The coins are widgets. I think Alan is about to learn a lesson about buying quality coinage rather than every cheap slab he comes across. If he thinks he is going to get anywhere near the ngc and pcgs price guide prices he quoted, he is wrong. The market is extremely weak in high grade moderns.

While my post may lack subtlety, I am genuinely trying to help him.

 

I made the same mistakes when I first started collecting (random purchases, no direction) which ultimately cost me money.

 

That being said, it appears he is now got direction (sample slabs), so I wish him all the best in this regard.
