Indian Cent spots..,.salvagable?

2 posts in this topic

I have an 1859 & a 1908-s with a spot on the obverses(59-neck, 08-cheek). I was wondering if these would be worth conserving. The 1908-s is actually at NGC right now for grading. The 1859 in in a pcgs slab, I think it would grade higher without the spot.

Both coins do appear to be candidates for conservation. I would have to see the pieces in person to determine what might or might not be done to improve the spots. At the very least we should be able to take steps to prevent the spots from becoming worse in the future.
