I would like to submit a $5 Gold NGC certified Commemorative for a review. Has a PF70 designation, looking for CAM or UC designation. Under an Appearance Review can the coins rating be lowered? What is the cost plus Insurance and turnaround time? Thank you very much.

What you are requesting is a Designation Review, for which there is a $10 fee I believe. If a coin is submitted for A/R (Appearance Review) and is lowered it would be subject to our guarantee. Customer service can help you further by calling them direct at 800 NGC COIN

 

PS- If it is a light haze that is holding the coin back from Cameo or Ultra Cameo, contacting NCS (866 NCS COIN) might be a good idea too.
