how to clean copper coins?

2 posts in this topic

I use silver jewlery dip to clean some of my silver coins and usually it works.

Now I want clean some of my UNC grade copper coins.

Is there some kind of dip similar to that for silver jewlery?

Since the copper coins I want to clean are of UNC grade, I can't scrub them. I can only dip.

I can not recommend any home conservation method. Quite often it is the technique used that will lead to the surface problems that will cause a coin to be called improperly cleaned. Scrubbing a coin is probably not a good idea.
