Attributing a new DDO discovery

2 posts in this topic

I have several SAE's of the same year that may be an undiscovered DDO. I would like to submit them to CONECA for confirmation and attribution, but I would prefer not to avail myself of the service they offer for submitting them direct from CONECA to ANACS for grading and attribution.

If these are, in fact, a new discovery, can I submit them to NGC with the CONECA documentation, and will NGC attribute them as such?

Thanks!

Chris

Chris,

Thank you for your question. When NGC receives a variety not listed in our Variety Plus program we have to consider whether it is significant enough to merit mention and whether collectors would pay a premium for the variety in the marketplace. That decision would have to be made after we have received the coin for examination.
