Here is a recent purchase I made. I could not help myself from passing up on this Counter-marked 8 reales . Presently it is NGC Authenticated and graded AU 55 .

I have to agree , I think it deserves a 58 grade myself. The photo's don't do justice to the coin in-hand. It never ceases to amaze me that examples as this survive in this state of preservation. Imagine that , a 1793 counter-stamped 8 Reales. Just imagining the hands that this may have passed through .

Very nice. I don't have one of the counterstamped 8 Reales, but I do have a 4 Reales, although not as high a grade.
