Error Coins

3 posts in this topic

Hello everyone! I have a very important question that has puzzled me for awhile. How do you get a Value of an Error coin that's not In the "Red Book" and the "Cherry Pickers Guide" for that matter. If the answer is have it apraised then what do they go by to come up with a value? I have several of these type of coins.

Suggestions or answers will make my life alot easier. If you are using the collection manager and enter an error coin, you only get the price without the error. I have a good error book but it generalizes an increase value with a dollar range and a rarity level. It's called " Price Guide to Mint Errors" written by Alan Herbert.

Please Help!! Sal

Hey, Sal!

For starters, you can browse through Fred Weinberg's inventory to see if he has any comparable listings.

You might also try the CONECA site, Variety Vista, to check your error coins against their master list. I don't think you'll find any pricing, but the attribution #'s will help in your search.

You can also use this site for Lincoln cents.

I hope this helps.
