Re: Cross-Over Policy

2 posts in this topic

I know that this is probably futile, but would NGC consider amending its cross-over policy to allow cross-over of at least old-holder (XYZ) coins? I understand that NGC is probably concerned about problem coins surfacing only once the coins have been removed from their holders, but old (XYZ) coins shouldn't have this problem for the most part. Also, (ABC) has translucent holders which could reveal any defects that would be hidden on the rim, etc.

NGC did not change its CrossOver policy because of "hidden problems." In discussing our services with submitters, we discovered that submitters were often disappointed with their CrossOver for reasons entirely unrelated to the service they received from NGC. We want to offer the best possible submitter experience and we felt this change was necessary to properly manage submitter expectations.
