Verdigris help

I have a few coins with some verdigris. Any suggestions? I already have some acetone on hand or should I get some of that verdi-care? I was going to try a few common circulated lincoln cents first, then the affected large cents when I'm sure of the results. Thanks for any help.

I would recommend that you experiment with "Goo Gone", which should remove the grunge very nicely, then use acetone to remove all remaining residues.

Goo Gone will strip the patina. Organic solvents are ineffective on coin verdigris since it is composed primarily of inorganic salts. Using any organic solvents on a verdigris affected coin is futile. They will only begin the process of ruining a coin.
