I'm not entirely sure what the point is? Did you just buy it?

Blast white gems are somewhat scarce for this date. I don't think its overgraded, just going by those pictures. (And if you do think its overgraded, why did you buy it?)

Certainly it is your option to crack out this 65 for your album, but a 65 is twice the value of a nice 64, just saying.

But even at that, a 65 is still barely worth $30. If he's building an attractive, well matched set in an album, then this coin would look really good in there.

I agree with you on the value between the two grades.

I picked this up for $25 under FMV.

Actually, the average price in my area for MS-65 Franklins, is $45-$50.

Read my post above as what I got this for.

I think you are confusing True Fair Market Value with Numismedia Fair Market Value.

What most would consider FMV is what a coin sells for, not what is listed in PCGS price guides or Numismedia. Other reliable sources are the Grey Sheet (www.greysheet.com). You can also check such places like ebay to see what coins are selling for. I'm sure this one would not bring a premium as it has already been stated that the coin is not remarkable for the grade and is blast white.

No I am not confusing anything.

If you re-read my post I said average price in my area is $45-$50 for this Franklin.

I picked it up for $25 less than FMV.
