War Nickel Availability

I noticed that there are 100s of MS 67 6FS 43-D and 44-D nickels in the census but I believe I have only seen one for sale in the past couple of years (and that was on eBay).

 

Any ideas why these never show up for sale/auction? There were a ton of MS 67 5FS in the Heritage archives, but zero that were designated 6FS.

 

I would like to aquire one for my type set one day when I can find one that's fairly priced and not fugly toned.

I would assume (been wrong lots of times before) that the majority are being held onto because of the registry points.

Better question is, who will sell me a prooflike War Nickel? And yes, there are a few of them graded.
