NGC verification check

Has anyone on this board ever had a NGC number verification check come back negative???

...i had a picture not show for me in the slab. i was disappointed with that,

 

although the other descriptions were there.

I think I remember someone saying that they had a really early slab that has a number that was re-used on a new slab, and therefore came up as a bad number. Anyone else remember that?
