Customer or victim? Client or dupe? Collector or mark? Investor or fool? posted by CaptBrian1

Am I a product of a good home, trusting or just plain stupid?

Have any of you folks been 'taken' by your trusted coin dealer? What did you do? What can someone do.I sure would like some feedback here. Some of my collection has been obained, I think, from con men who scammed me into thinking certain coins were worth much more than they were.

Thanks:

Capt. Brian

There is an old saying...

Fool me once, shame on you,

Fool me twice, shame on me.

I doubt you are stupid, but I'm pretty sure you were raised to be honest and to expect the same from others. You need to realize that there are people who confuse kindness with weakness. These people are to be avoided at all costs.

Especially if they are coin dealers.

I follow the old saying "trust nobody". When Im shopping for coins, I find my target coin then research the (tsk) out of it. Find out what the market price is for it, then how much Im willing to pay for it.
