Walking Liberty "no AW"??

2 posts in this topic

I have a 1944 Walking Liberty half in VG8 that has (under 10X) no discernable monogram - I was going through an estate hoard I purchased when I ran across it. I know, at least according to Breen's book, that there were only 2 known at the time. It's a VERY long shot, but any reason to submit it, and will NGC attribute the "no AM" if in fact it is one? Thanks.

NGC will recognize only the 1941 proof half dollar without the monogram. We do this solely because it is listed in the Red Book, which is one of declared sources.

Such die-polishing oddities carry no premium among knowledgeable collectors. frown.gif
