1970-D Washington Quarter DDR Info Needed

I'll try over here since this isn't a whine or complaint or about eBay thread which is what seems to get replies ATS.

 

Does anybody have any good photo's of the 1970-D Washington Quarter DDR's? Specifically FS-801 and FS-802.

 

I've come across a couple but the CPG photo's are really lacking.

They are fairly LDS which makes it difficult but the two coins are definitely different.

There are a lot of 1970-D DDR quarters, so yours is probably a different die than the ones in the CPG. Go to www.conecaonline.org, and look up the variety, or try varietyvista.com

That appears to be a very minor DDR, so it most likely isn't listed in CPG or Coneca. James Wiles is very particular about the varieties he designates. I've had a couple that I thought were major (as in, significantly more pronounced than yours, to the point where they were visible to the naked eye) that he didn't attribute. That being said, he's very knowledgeable and will attribute your coin for a small fee.
