The coin is now encased in plastic. It is either in the PCGS Registry [if it's in the right plastic], where it is admired by people reported to be snobs; in the NGC Registry, where it may or may not be eligible for an award [depending upon the plastic of the other coins around it]; or in Capitol Plastic, where it is treasured by its new owner, but ineligible for any Registry.
