may 1908 --- pioneer gold piece ten dollar "token" brings $2175.00 at auction

on may 1 1908 in london england a ten dollar token issued by the cincinnati mining company in 1849

 

was sold at an auction conducted by sotheby's and purchased by an american collector for the sum of $2175.00

 

one of only two known!!

 

i wonder what the latest selling price 893scratchchin-thumb.gif of this coin is??
