The naturally occurring copper stain you are seeing can affect the value of the coin negatively. As such, one idea you might consider is to have your coin inspected by NCS to determine if the stain can be professionally removed. If it can be, the coin's value will then be fully recognized in the grade it receives by NGC after conservation.
