Today was the best coin shopping day.

While some don't share my interest in SMS and modern proofs, today I stopped by a shop, and I just had to post. The treatment I received was extraordinary. It's a new shop, and I went in and introduced myself, and told the owner my interest. I told him I was occasionally a submitter, and that I wanted to purchase cameo proofs circa 1950-1971. He said he had just gotten some new stock. He had several large boxes of sets, many in their original shipping envelopes. I looked at 500+ sets, and picked out the ones I liked. He simply set the boxes in the floor and said "Pick what you like". When I asked to pay, he split bid and ask. He promised to call when his next order arrived. Fantastic. He doesn't know it yet, but he'll get to help me with my other interests as well. I won't bore you with pics, but there was one exceptional coin in todays lot I rarely see that I thought was worth a picture.

That's a darn cool story, Don! Perhaps I can swing by there someday and we can look for coins that I specialize in?

Sweet Don! I had a similar experience recently wherein I found a nice DCAM '68-S Kennedy. Yours is a rarer find, however. Uplifting!
