Spare a grade on this large cent?

I'll preface this by saying that this is not a series that I actively collect; however, I would give the coin a technical grade of AU50- AU53 (best case scenario if the coin isn't body bagged). If the coin is encapsulated, I would guess that the coin would be heavily down graded possibly to XF 40 or so. You are going to be penalized heavily for the rim damage and I do believe that there appears to be some wear on the head band, nose, and cheek (although this could just be my monitor).

 

Also, is it just me or do the colors on this coin look questionable?

I won't write a grade, but will echo those who have already stated that it has been very thoroughly stripped and either recolored or simply allowed to mellow with time. The color of the coin is not at all natural.
