Swiss Basel Taler

Unlike my last post this particular coin cost considerably more than $10, and the photos do not begin to do it justice. AU55 is a pretty fair grade, as I believe the obverse is AU53/AU55 while the reverse is easily AU58.

 

The coin has toned light brown with gold and red highlights plus some blue at the top of the reverse, One of these days I'll figure out how to photograph a toned coin properly.
