I'm recovering from foot surgery ten days ago and have at least that many more ahead pretty well confined to the recliner. How about posting your favorite bird coin? I'll start with three of my favorites:

Love your first coin. What is it?

 

I'm slooooowly adding to a birds on coins collection. Here are some of mine that I've photographed.

The first coin is a Bird of Paradise from an 1894 10 Pfennig coin from German New Guinea.

Technically not a bird as dragons and basilisks never actually existed, but bird like nevertheless...

 

 

I had surgery to repair a shattered right ankle in 2004, so I feel your pain. Hope you are back on your feet by Christmas.
