1944 Canada Silver 50cent Piece - Value and Variety

I recently received this in a box of coins - any insights on the variety (I understand the is a "wide 4" version) and the value. The reverse appears to have been taped in place years ago and the yellow is the tape residue. Thanks in advance. Shawn
