QUESTION: Name two heirs to two different railroad fortunes who became benefactors to numismatic museums.

hm. The originator of the Garrett collection was an owner of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, and that collection was first loaned to Princeton University and then donated to Johns Hopkins. I assume both of those universities had museums that housed the coins, although I don't know of they were specifically "numismatic museums".

 

If you don't like JP Morgan since he made his own fortune and wasn't an "heir", how about Garret to go with Archer Huntington?
