It is not a white balance issue because the clothes he is auctioning off are all the correct color.

Sometimes when you use the ENHANCE-->AUTO LEVELS feature in Photoshop it changes colors pretty drastically. I have had coins turn blue but never purple.

 

Better to just use ENHANCE-->AUTO CONTRAST instead. Unless you really like purple coins...::
