VAM attribution fees

2 posts in this topic

Hi NGC,

I'm about to re-up my membership and send in a couple of batches of coins. One question I have is about your attibution research fee,if the VAM is a fairly common one,is easily seen and and I listed it on the submission form, would I still have to pay the research fee on top of the grading fee to have a coin attributed? In this case it is a VAM 11 1880S Morgan dollar. I asked this question before and got no reply, but my earlier attempt may not have been clear. Thank you,Peter Rudden

Most VAM attributions require a VarietyPlus fee, regardless of the level of work involved in determining the variety. There are exceptions that are done by the graders without additional charge, and these include 1879-CC Capped CC VAM-3, 1887/6 VAM-2 and 1887/6-O VAM-3.
