Registry database down?

I've been trying to add two new acquisitions all day, and upon clicking on the button to Save, it just sits for a minute and then comes back with a message saying that the database is unreachable.

 

Is this regular Sunday maintenance, or an actual problem?

This was not regular maintenance. There was an issue on our server but it was resolved this evening. Entries that were rejected during the outage were saved in an admin queue and we will get through them between tonight and tomorrow to get them resolved and added to the appropriate sets.
