Going to Denver...

I will be going to Denver in a few weeks, Are there any spots of numismatic interest worth checking out near by?

 

And yes I already have my reservations made for the mint tour

I don't know how far away Colorado Springs is, but I don't think it's too far. The ANA musem and headquarters is there, and I hear its a spot not to be missed.

It looks like Colorado Springs is about 1hr south. I will have to check that out.

What week? You may want to check out meetings of the Denver Coin Club, the Northside Coin Club, or the Longmont Coin Club depending upon what week you're there.

Saturday, 9/22, there is a coin show at the Jefferson County fair grounds in Golden. It is a recurring 'local' show that has generally about 30-40 dealers set up and has quite good attendance from the collectors in the area. [pm me and I can send directions]

 

There are also a few shops that are well run and are fun to brouse their inventory.

 

From where I am located (Aurora) it takes about an hour and I am walking in the door of the ANA building.

I will be there mid week, Sept. 14-18 most likely. I assume that this knocks out most shows and club meets.

 

If anyone could PM the names of some good B&Ms in the area I would greatly appreciate it.
