Help identify a Maximinus Roman coin Please.

1 post in this topic

I can't seem to find this coin variety anywhere.

It has SMN in exergue.

Obverse says imp ccal val maximinvs pf avg

Reverse there is a person facing right with a shield and spear over shoulder (I think it is Mars or Sol in a military dress). His outstreched arm on left appears to be over a captive on his knee.(It is not the eagle variety). There is an sideways L in the right field.

I'm pretty sure this is Maximinus II from around 300AD but I can't find this anywhere.

I would appreciate any help. I can't find a way to attach picture. So if anyone wants a better look I can email it to you.

Thanks,

Brian
