Crossing over from ANACS to NCS

As one of our services, NCS will certainly evaluate coins for crossover into our Details Grade holders. When we are evaluating a crossover, we will look to see that the details grade of the current holder matches or exceeds the details grade the experts at NCS have determined. We will also consider the description of the problem in the crossover process. At NCS, we do not determine a “net grade” and a “net grade” is not a consideration in the crossover process. Also keep in mind that NCS Details Grade holders give a word description of the grade.

Using your coin—1795 Dollar VF Details Scratched, as an example—your coin will be graded by the NCS graders. A Details Grade and problem description will be determined. If this matches what is listed on your coin’s current holder, VF Details Scratched, or exceeds, for example XF Details Scratched, then your coin will be crossed. If it is determined to have a lower details grade such as F Details Scratched, then your coin will not be crossed. Just as with a crossover coin at NGC, any attributions will also be considered when crossing a coin.
