You can put them in a registry slot soon if you want ! :D

I am actually considering it. The one on the left is a shoe in for MS details.

MBA101,

I like those double eagles.

What are the grades on the '69-S and 1878? The 1878 looks to have nice luster

The 69s is an AU 53, but appears to be original with some nice old dirt on it, and the 78 is an MS 61, and somewhat typical for the grade. The coins thank you for your appreciation! ;)

Nice 88 MBA, looks like an MS-62, I don't think many folks appreciate the scarcity of philly mint double eagles from the 1880s, yours is the most common with a mintage of 228K, and mine is the second most common with a mintage of 44K.

Ok, here are two more for tonight, the first one has a nice die break making a spike into Liberty's forehead...

Mine is actually a '61. I like it, looks original though pretty baggy. 1888 is just a cool date. Makes me think of whiskey and Injuns!

And that is a great gaggle of Injuns!

My second guess would have been a 61! Mine is the elusive MS-60 grade, which I think is very appropriate.

I likes it! But I am still not sure how one gets a grade of 60 as opposed to 61.

I sure wish these were today's currency instead of yesteryear's!

I think you had to have them graded when MS-60 was still a real grade! Here are two others I have of that elusive grade, the centennial double eagle has a newer PCGS label, but I've owned it about 10 years, the other is in an older green label holder.

I could not agree more. Here is an AU example with a lot of remaining luster.
