Fitting a Varied Thickness Conder Token into a Prong Holder

2 posts in this topic

My question pertains to a Conder token (Middlsx 906). Mine has a very thick flan that narrows down in thickness. If I were to submit it for NGC certification, how will the new prong holder accomodate the varied thickness? Does NGC vary the prongs used for different thicknesses on the same token (2 prongs of one size for one half the token and 2 different prong sizes for the other half)?

I am concerned that if the prongs used are all one size that the token will rattle and/or the token will not be immobilized.

Thanks for your answer in advance!

The plastic core pieces NGC uses are flexible, so the prongs will hold the token securely. There's a slight chance that it may not lie completely parallel to the holder's face.
